Brief overview of the role

As an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, you would support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, in the classroom and outside environment.

Vacancy description

Working within a Primary School full-time as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant, your duties will include:

  • Supporting pupils with their numeracy
  • Supporting pupils with their literacy
  • Supporting pupils with their ICT skills
  • Gardening lessons and after school clubs for the children
  • Understanding the Safeguarding and Behaviour Policy
  • Working with children aged 4 – 11 years
  • Supporting a teacher in various roles within the classroom

Desired qualifications

Training to be provided

Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Working week

Monday – Friday, between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 (to be confirmed).

Total hours per week: 40.00
